There's been more state-level recognition for our Long Branch Braves! These fifth grade students were winners in the Daughters of the American Revolution poster contest. First place winners at both local and state levels were Angie, Kailyn, Sarah, and Harmony. Not only did this group win at the state level, but they also took 2nd place in the Southeastern Regional competition. Dax won first place at the local level for his poster. Reagan, Ethan, and Jesse won second place at the local level. Be on the lookout for their work in the public library this summer where it will be on display!

Congratulations to our newly elected house leaders!

Congratulations to the students who were selected for this month's character party! The word for April is HOPE and these students were chosen for donuts and dodgeball because they recognize that even when bad things happen, we should still look for the good. Hope is a small word, but it has BIG meaning. We are proud of you, Braves! Congratulations!

Just a reminder that our Night of the Arts is tomorrow, Tuesday 4/26, from 5-7. There will be music from our Singing Braves, art, and even some surprises! Coming Soon!

We were just notified that a fiber line has been cut between Lumpkin County and Atlanta causing phone outages for all our schools and district office. We do not have an estimated time of the current outage, but we hope it is resolved soon!
Thank you for your understanding.

The LBES Drama Club gathered together at the Holly Theater to enjoy a showing of Dear Edwina Jr. The students had an opportunity to see a wonderful show as well as go onstage and backstage. They will be putting on their own show, The Aristocats Kids, March 25-26 at LCHS. Tickets are $5 and the shows begin at 7:00.

Career Day at LBES was a huge success! Thank you to our speakers: Joe & Tracy Bertini, Dr. Rob Brown, Richard Dix, Kristina Erisman, Steve Hawk, Stacie James, Patrick Ledford, Marisol Limehouse, Dr. Aubrey McBrayer, Harold Mitchell, Rob Staples, and Erin Wright for being here and sharing your love of your profession with our students!

Congratulations to these students who were selected to attend our character party of the month! The word of the month was compassion, and these students got to enjoy donuts and dancing for showing they care for others! Way to go!
