Mrs. Fouts is hosting virtual story time all the way from the Arctic!

It feels like the first day it school all over again, but we are so excited to be back with our kiddos even through zoom! Our teachers and students are working hard, thank you all!

We’re ready for material pickup tomorrow! We have instructional materials for ALL students to be successful during this short virtual learning period. Please plan on stopping by between 8:00-11:00 or 1:00-4:00 Wednesday!

Transcript of Mrs. Mullinax’s all call with material pick up information:
Hello Parents and Guardians, this is Jane Mullinax, principal at LBES with important information about distance learning. Starting on Thursday, students will be interacting with their teachers throughout the regular school day via zoom meetings. Teachers will send links for zoom meetings through their google classrooms. Materials and device pickup will occur on Wednesday from 8am to 11am and 1pm to 4pm. We need ALL
families to come and pick up materials and/or devices tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 6th. When you arrive at the school, students and 1 adult will be allowed to enter the school and walk back to the classroom to pick up the materials. The media center will be closed. Everyone in the building must wear a mask at all times. Please do not linger in the building and limit your time with the teacher to only material pick up. If you need to speak further with your child’s teacher, please be sure to email them or send them a message through school status. Teacher hours will be 7:30:3:30 each school day and they will do their best to respond as quickly as possible when they aren’t actively teaching. Please allow them 24 hours to respond.
We appreciate your flexibility as we embrace virtual learning for the next few weeks. Keep in mind we have devices available for check out for all of our students. If you experience difficulties with your internet make sure that you are only using your internet for the students (this would mean you would need to stop streaming services like Netflix or You tube) while your student is working on school work.
Thank you again for your understanding and patience during this difficult time. We sincerely hope that we will be able to have the students return to school on Jan. 19th. Since there is a lot of information in this message, we will copy this announcement on facebook and on our webpage.
Please give our students a big hug! We miss them!
