LCHS Students & Parents: We are going launch a Virtual Learning Lab to further support Distance Learning. Students can chat with tutors in each academic subject with questions about their school work between 9-10 am and 1-4 pm. The Learning Lab link is on Google Classroom.

Lumpkin County High School announces their FIRST ever Spirit Week Challenge!
We recognize that learning at home brings about new challenges that most of our students have never faced before. One big challenge is feeling alone in the learning process and missing out on the social interaction that helps students feel connected and part of a positive school culture.
Next week, we would like our student body to complete assignments as posted, talk to their teachers via email to stay connected, and to participate in our Spirit Challenge to reinforce their connection to this TR1BE.

Important Message from Lumpkin County Schools: Schools will be in session on Friday, March 13th for all staff and students, but schools will be closed for a minimum of one week beginning Monday, March 16th.

Lumpkin Youth Leadership is spending the day at Monteluce Winery learning business etiquette, dining etiquette and celebrating their accomplishments with honored quests with a graduation ceremony at noon.
Class of 2024 is invited to our optional Parent Night tonight from 6:00-7:00pm. Take a tour of the school, meet with counselors/administrators, and get your questions answered. If you can not attend tonight, please feel free to call or email. There will be another opportunity to change schedules or take a tour at our Freshmen Focus in July!
Congratulations to Mrs. Gilleland and LCMS and LCHS HOSA on a successful run at state leadership conference this weekend! Walking away with American Red Cross Chapter of the Year Runner-Up, Grace Wikle 2nd Place in Clinical Nursing, and LCMS placed top 5 in the state!
We would like to take an opportunity to apologize for today's power outage and confusion with release time. Within a couple minutes of making the decision to release at 1:00 PM, power was restored. In order to not have multiple bus runs this afternoon, the responsible thing to do was allow car riders and parent pick up to release at 1:00 PM, but keep bus riders here until normal release time. During the entire event, all students were safe and cared for by our teachers. We did our best to communicate the play-by-play, and we are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience this has caused any of of our families. We hope you enjoy the sunshine and you have a good weekend! #TR1BE
Power has been restored at LCHS. Busses will run at normal times. Student drivers and parent pick-up may leave at 1:00 pm at no penalty. There will be NO learning lab today.
The LCHS Tribe Theatre is proud to be working with our talented students at LCMS on their upcoming production of "Peter Pan Jr." The perfect musical for families and young audiences. Show dates: March 12, 13 an 14th a 7 PM. All tickets are only $5.00
In just a few short weeks, our Class of 2020 will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. As we look forward to this event, we begin to reflect on the days, months, and years of experiences they have had with us as they worked towards this goal. Please take a minute to write a short note to one or more of our graduates that you have impacted and helped prepare for graduation. Help us celebrate our students and wish them well as they begin their journey into adulthood.
