Science Rocks!

Our Lumpkin County students delivered yet again! We are advancing to Districts.
The Region trials took place Friday evening and all day Saturday at the courthouse in Gainesville. However, Dahlonega will host the District trials on Saturday, February 22nd.
We do not have the point details yet, but we do know the following:
1st place: Athens Christian
2nd place: Lumpkin
3rd place: North Gwinnett
All of the students did phenomenally, but junior Kayleigh Dyer deserves a major shout out. She was both a plaintiff attorney AND a defense attorney AND she won the Outstanding Attorney Awards in ALL 3 trials. I don't think anyone has ever done that. Additionally, freshman Ari Dawson won an Outstanding Witness award. Kudos to all!
Please join me next week in wishing them continued success.

Thank you to Lumpkin County Fire Department for serving as guest speakers. Students heard about education, training, volunteer and employment opportunities available for them. We appreciate the partnership we have with our community.
